Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM) was founded in 1998 to confront many of the problems present in the Preston Taylor public housing area, such as drug use, gang involvement, teenage pregnancy, illiteracy, poor school performance and crime. Their website shares that the organization has a history of helping kids become "overcomers" - those who see beyond what is right in front of them.

David Brown, a volunteer with PTM as a lunchmate mentor, saw an opportunity to get more of our JJCA crew involved in a great activity this past Saturday, sprucing up the grounds in preparation for the kids who will be coming in as the school year is now underway. David Johnson and his daughter Caroline, David Brown, Jason Putnal, Jason Varrin, Brian Asa, Morgan Powell, Susan Sanders, Tim Morgan, Stephanie Pielich and her family, and Mara Caoile all pitched in to do some landscape work. Led by PTM's Chan Sheppard, we mulched, weeded and helped to make the grounds more welcoming for those seeking to discover and live their God-inspired dreams.

We are proud to serve such a worthy organization!
