Charlotte and Donald Test Jr. Center
Aug 30, 2019 JJCA Projects

As the need for quality behavioral healthcare is growing, so too is Vanderbilt's inpatient capacity. Their new Charlotte and Donald Test Jr. Center provides 14 new adult beds in an addition that opened in August. The unit is designed to support patients actively engaged in their care, offering the missing piece in the continuum from stabilization in emergency through outpatient care.

The first expansion since 1985, the new unit includes seven double-occupancy rooms located on the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital's 3rd floor. The center - which includes a group room, sensory room, nurse's station, open common area and a room dedicated to patient care planning - incorporates plenty of natural light, calming colors and modern wood accents.
