When identifying how she could "dig" her way into this year's JJCA theme (of DIG), Mara Caiole decided to jump in with both feet. A fairly recent graduate, Mara has been looking for ways to transition from school to the real world of architecture.
"One accomplishment was getting my CDT which has helped me better understand the CA process. The second thing has been keeping a Google Keep note file of vocabulary terms that I've either never heard before or have heard but never really knew what they meant. This log has been very helpful, especially for my ARE studying and I'll continue developing my dictionary for young architects.
"I've also been digging into what it means to be a coordinator, not just here in our office, but also in our local architecture community. I have become a member of the AIA MidTn Emerging Professionals Committee as a special initiatives chair, helping to coordinate events and ventures for local EPs. It's been a great experience so far and I can definitely say I have learned so much within just a year of graduating!”
