Just when you think we’ve run out of breath, in keeping with our 2021 theme of “breathe” we have a medley of tips from some of our team members about how they find time to take a moment or two to relax in the midst of a crazy day:
CJ works it out with exercise, or plays it out with video games to help him decompress. He also tries not to bring work home!
For Jenny, breathing means tuning out by tuning in: she listens to music while she works. She also makes lists to keep her tasks in front of her so nothing falls through the cracks.
Both David Johnson and Susan recommend a change of pace as a great way to get a good, deep breath:
For Susan, laughter is often the best medicine, but she says either a drive to UT to scream at a ballgame OR a manicure can do the trick as well!
David customizes the solution based on the situation – which sounds just like David, right? It might be as simple as changing the radio station, or as non-conventional as sitting on his hands – a reminder to stay calm in a challenging situation!
