Ever wonder what’s above your head?

Sometimes we get so busy with what’s on our desk or computer screen that we forget to look up or around us. It’s good to take a moment to sit back and get a different perspective.

Asking yourself “I wonder…” is one place to start.

“I wonder what’s up there,” thought Jenny Lomas recently. “Up there” is not something new for Jenny. She is from Huntsville, Alabama (Rocket City), and her dad works for NASA. Having been raised in the space program, she often looks up, but on this day, it felt different.

So, she wondered, what’s really up beyond the clouds, and not quite to the stars. What’s floating all around us?

She did a little online research and found a most interesting website: This site shows all kinds of objects that are floating above the earth, and includes payload, rocket bodies, debris, and unknowns. You can click on the speed slider to see the objects move around. And if you’re looking for the location of a specific satellite, just enter it into the search field, and you can see exactly where it is.

While we love what we do at JJCA, we also like to wonder. It’s amazing what we’ll find when we go on a virtual field trip in search of answers and ideas. You just never know what you’ll find!
