It’s not every day that we gain a team member whose heritage goes back to the oldest known architect in the world. We’re excited to introduce Bishoy Kamel as our new project coordinator, and his architectural engineering expertise will be a great addition.
Bishoy has a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Tennessee State University. Prior to coming to the United States, he was on the engineering faculty at Alexandria University in Egypt, and taught Specialized Scientific Programs as part of their Construction Program. He is well-versed in many software programs, including AutoCAD, MATLAB, Visual Studio, Revit, and Microstation.
Fun fact: Did you know that the oldest known architect came from Egypt, Bishoy’s birthplace? Just Google it, and you’ll see Imhotep’s name and story. So, it’s probably no surprise that the pyramids and The Heavenly Cathedral in Egypt are among Bishoy’s favorite buildings. The Eiffel Tower in Paris is also on his list. Bringing ideas to life is what led him to our fine profession, and his previous experience and client-service attitude mesh with our culture of improving the human experience.
Bishoy lives with his parents and sister, and when he’s not at work he enjoys watching soccer matches, singing, and listening to music.
Bishoy was looking for a firm where he could grow and learn professionally. Good thing that’s just exactly what we try to be about every day.
Welcome, Bishoy!
