Most people don’t like problems. Not Komal Patel—she likes problem-solving and being creative to find solutions, which is why she is a perfect fit at JJCA. Welcome, Komal!
Komal has a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a Master’s in Architecture. Before coming to JJCA, she gained experience outside JJCA’s main focus of healthcare, behavioral health, and education. She had an engineering internship with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, where she worked within the structures division and helped design bridges. She also has experience in residential and multi-family complexes. That background means our JJCA team has new ideas to help us deliver outstanding projects.
“I love how JJCA works on diverse projects, which are the types of projects that affect everyone of all ages,” she says. “Education is something that we all go through from grade school. Anytime people get sick, they end up going to the doctor. These facilities are used by almost everyone in some way, which is what brought JJCA to my attention.”
Komal says she’s interested in learning our design approach. Her professional goal is to achieve architectural licensure by actively participating in diverse and engaging design endeavors.
When she’s not at work, she loves to spend time with family and friends. Her hobbies include hiking, spending time at the lake, and being outdoors. She also plays board games and watches movies. “It’s the simple things I enjoy,” she says.
Her bucket list is travel focused. She’s been to 10 countries already, and she plans to hit as many places as she can.
We’re glad you’re part of the team, Komal.
