At JJCA, one of the things we're particularly good at is breaking a project down into bite-size pieces. That's exactly the approach that ultimately worked best to get the Macon County General Hospital expansion project back on the table and moving forward after almost a decade.
The groundbreaking for the project took place back in December. A focal point for the first phase is the overhaul and expansion of the hospital's emergency department. The new ED will feature a variety of private patient exam/treatment rooms, a larger triage area, full tele-medicine capabilities, a decontamination area, and two large cardiac/trauma rooms.
The project is being funded with a USDA loan.
