Our ACE mentors, Stephanie, Travis, Halie, and Shelby, recently wrapped up another year of working with talented high school students from Williamson County schools on a real-world design challenge. This year our team designed a recreation center targeted for a college campus. Our team was one of only a few that involved the full complement of trades--architects, engineers, contractors, and interior design--in their design-through-construction process. Three students from our team were awarded $2000 scholarships at the banquet where final projects were presented and displayed.

Check this video for presentations from three of the members of our team!

The ACE mentoring program brings together architecture, construction and engineering mentors and high school students who aspire to be in these industries, to design projects that could actually be built at some point in the future. For several years, JJCA has been involved in these year-long mentoring programs that culminate in the presentation of real designs.
