Happy to Serve

Feb 8, 2018 JJCA Lessons Learned

We know that focus and direction can be very valuable tools. The hundreds of master plans we've created for clients over the years have kept long-term project goals consistently in focus, sometimes for a decade or more. Our focus on two major types of architecture, healthcare and education, has allowed us to become true experts in these areas. Similarly, our annual JJCA "theme" provides us focus on areas we feel we need to further explore and master as professionals and good human beings. Our themes have ranged from "Enjoy" to "Trust" and each has provided a guiding principal for a year and each has helped to make us more well-rounded individuals. This year's theme is likely to provide the greatest reward yet. Our theme for 2018 is "SERVE" and our focus is outward, to our clients and to our community. We'll be looking for ways to expand our relationships with a variety of agencies we've partnered with in the past, like ACE, Salama and Martha O'Bryan. And we'll be looking for other opportunities to serve each other, our clients and the communities in which we live, work and play.

"The only really happy people are those who have learned how to serve." Albert Schweitzer
