David Brown and Michael Speck recently attended the ribbon cutting for Belmont Behavioral Health System's new inpatient hospital in Philadelphia. Feedback from the community and community leaders about the new facility was exceptional. The CEO encouraged staff to use this new tool to do good work for patients, who began moving into the building the Saturday following the ribbon cutting. According to Belmont's website, "Our new hospital is the culmination of years of planning. It reflects decades of clinical best practices."
The $100 million project replaces the current hospital built in the 1940's with a state-of-the-art facility, expanding capacity to 252 beds. The new inpatient hospital is the fourth phase of a multi-year, multi-phase plan that involves a variety of projects that will ultimately revitalize and replace the entire campus.
